Livre d'artiste consacré à une série de deux installations audiovisuelles immersives d’Irena Latek, présentées à Montréal. Une documentation photographique des installations Flux et Intervalles exposées au CEUdeM et à la Cinématique québécoise, et les photogrammes des vidéos de chacune de deux œuvres explorent en détail les déconstructions et reconstructions de l’espace public de Paris, New York et Istanbul.

Ces installations sont commentées par deux critiques françaises – théoriciennes d’art, cinéma et architecture, Sophie Paviol et Clotilde Simond, et sont mises en contexte par l’essai d’Irena Latek. L’ouvrage offre un riche aperçu des enjeux des recherches de l’architecte et vidéaste canadienne œuvrant dans le milieu académique, entre autres dans le cadre collaboratif du laboratoire medialabAU. Il met en relief sa perspective originale sur l’architecture, qui devenant l’espace hétérogène de la ville et de l’existence humaine, se rapproche de l’art contemporain.

Artist's book dedicated to a series of two immersive audiovisual installations by Irena Latek, presented in Montreal. A photographic documentation of the Flux and Intervalles installations exhibited at the CEUdeM and at the Cinémathèque québécoise, and the photograms of the two works' videos, explore in detail the deconstructions and reconstructions of the public space of Paris, New York and Istanbul.

These installations are commented by two French critics - theoreticians of art, cinema and architecture, Sophie Paviol and Clotilde Simond, and are put in context by the essay by Irena Latek. The book offers a rich overview of the research issues of the Canadian architect and videographer working in the academic field, among others in the collaborative framework of the laboratory medialabAU. It emphasizes her original perspective on architecture, which is considered as the heterogeneous space of the city and human existence and as such becomes closer to contemporary art.
