The Vancouver Art Book Fair - VA/BF

VA:BF Web Graphic - poster.jpg

Anteism will be at the second annual Vancouver Art/Book Fair, a two-day festival that features nearly one hundred local, national and international publishers of art books, magazines, zines, printed ephemera and digital or other experimental forms of publication, as well as on-site programs, performances and installations.

Free and open to the public, VA/BF is the only international art book fair in Canada and one of only two on the West Coast.

Launching with a Reception at Project Space at 8pm on Friday, October 4, 2013, VA/BF will take place from 12pm to 5pm on October 5 and 6 at the Vancouver Art Gallery.

We are so happy to see this event happening in Vancouver. It filled a huge void on the West Coast. Come witness the early stages of an already blossoming world class art book fair. The first 250 people each day get a free tote bag! Come early.

The 2010 New York Art Book Fair in 4 Mins.

NewYork Art Book Fair 2010 Anteism recently wrapped up our exhibition at the New York Art Book Fair at the PS1 MoMA. We were so impressed with the sheer number of exhibitors, the beautiful works on display and the great venue we wanted to share it in this short video clip.

I highly recommend visiting the event, we're already looking forward to next year. Thanks to the Canada Council for the Arts for making it possible for us and a number of other artists and publishers to be involved in the show.

Anteism @ Montreal Anarchist Book Fair 2010

Anteism will have a new title for sale at this years Anarchist Book Fair in Montréal. Dean Garlick, author of "The Fish" will have a table and will be signing books. The Fish explores currents of contemporary existence in a realm where the brutality of history is ever-present and the will to exist is the only thing keeping a person from fading into nothingness. The book's 17 amazing illustrations by Erik Volet beautifully co-narrate the story.

MAY 29-30, 10am-5pm at the CEDA, 2515 rue Delisle (a short walk from Lionel-Groulx metro) FREE. Welcome to all!

anarchist_book_fair_montreal

The Montreal Anarchist Bookfair — and month-long Festival of Anarchy — bring together anarchist ideas and practice, through words, images, music, theatre and day-to-day struggles for justice, dignity and collective liberation. The Bookfair is for people who don’t necessarily consider themselves anarchists, but are curious about anarchism, as well as a space for anarchists to meet, network and share in a spirit of respect and solidarity. All are welcome.

The Bookfair is organized in a spirit of openness towards the different traditions, visions, and practices of anarchism. Together we share a commitment to promoting anarchism through the values of mutual aid, grassroots democracy, direct action, autonomy and solidarity, while opposing oppression in all its forms.

The Bookfair and Festival of Anarchy provide an important gathering and reference point for anti-authoritarian ideas and practice in North America. -> What Happens at the Montreal Anarchist Bookfair? Read more here: http://www.anarchistbookfair.ca/about/what-happens-at-the-bookfair
